For over 33 seasons the Barleen family has fed and entertained folks at their 500-seat Apache Junction dinner theatre. The Duttons in Concert – Mesa

We have a really special day planned and our destination is Queen Creek and Mesa. We begin with a tasty picnic lunch at the Queen Creek Olive Mill. This is Arizona’s only working olive farm and mill and they produce boutique, hand-crafted extra virgin olive oils. Enjoy shopping in their gourmet marketplace before we travel to Mesa. We’ll then take our seats at the East Valley High School Auditorium for a matinee performance starring The Duttons. This family, based in Branson, has received attention as international touring and recording artists and they play everything from bluegrass to classical and their show features a huge variety of instruments. In addition to their instrumental virtuosity, the Duttons are accomplished singers and dancers and have been recognized as superb vocal talents. Join us for this very unique musical outing.

No No Nanette
Hale Theatre – Gilbert

We have combined two wonderful places to visit in the Phoenix area on this day tour. The Musical Instrument Museum covers over 200,000 square feet and truly celebrates the universal language of music by exhibiting instruments from every country in the world. On exhibit is approximately 5,000 instruments and with the use of the most technologically advanced wireless headsets and high-resolution video screens, we will be able to see instruments, hear their sounds and observe them being played in their original settings. We will enjoy a no-host lunch in their restaurant and have free time to explore the galleries. This afternoon we take our seats in the Hale Centre Theatre to enjoy their matinee performance of “No, No, Nanette”. This lighthearted romp showcases the charming music of Vincent Youmans. The wacky story involves three couples sharing a cottage in Atlantic City in the midst of a blackmail scheme, with plenty of deception, romantic mishaps, and comical misunderstandings. The score includes two of the best-known songs in musical theatre – “Tea for Two” and “I Want to Be Happy” – as well as “I’ve Confessed To The Breeze,” “You Can Dance With Any Girl” and “Take a Little One-Step.” Join us for this day filled with musical adventure.

The brand NEW Odysea Aquarium project has been a much-anticipated addition to The Valley and we’ll have fun exploring everything! You will be impressed with the state-of-the-art exhibit areas located here. They boast over 200,000 square feet of space, more than 2 million gallons of water filling over 50 exhibits and housing sharks, sea turtles, seahorses, otters and anything else that swims! A cafe is located here and is the perfect spot to grab a no-host lunch. En route back to Tucson we have a stop planned at the Melting Pot for a chocolate fondue treat! Today we are heading to the spring training home of the Arizona Diamondbacks at the Salt River Fields. This 11,000 seat capacity ballpark is the first major league baseball spring training facility in the nation to be built on American Indian land. Enjoy the game and the spectacular landscape of Camelback Mountain, the McDowell Mountains, Four Peaks, the Superstition Mountains and Red Mountain. We will be making a stop at the Tempe Marketplace for you to choose a spot among the many restaurants to enjoy a no-host lunch before we head to the 1:10p start of the game. Ramsey Canyon and Amerind Foundation Tour

We have put together a really great sightseeing tour that will certainly show you a variety of sights in Southeastern Arizona. We begin our day with a visit to Ramsey Canyon located in the Huachuca Mountains. A spring-fed stream, favorable northeast orientation and canyon walls provide Ramsey Canyon with a moist, cool, stable environment. The hummingbirds like Ramsey Canyon, too. You must be able to enjoy short hikes on uneven ground to properly visit this preserve with us. Lunch will be at Texas Roadhouse Restaurant in Sierra Vista before we make our way to the Amerind Foundation. Located in scenic Texas Canyon, the Amerind houses one of the finest private collections of Native American art and artifacts in the country. Come along and explore with us!

Mesa Arts Center Tour – April 17, 2018 (Tuesday)

Join us and “America’s Orchestra” for this wonderful trip which will highlight the Best of the Boston Pops! We begin our day with a delicious dinner at Charleston’s Restaurant in Chandler before we travel to Mesa and take our seats in the Ikeda Theater located on the campus of the Mesa Arts Center. Settle in for the evening performance of the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra. Beginning with the establishment of the modern-era Pops by Arthur Fiedler and continuing through the innovations introduced by John Williams and the new-millennium Pops spearheaded by Keith Lockhart, the Boston Pops is the most recorded and arguably the most beloved orchestra in the country. Chiricahua National Monument Tour
April 27, 2018 (Friday)

The Chiricahua National Monument, located in the Southeastern corner of Arizona, is very scenic and contains history and wonderful rock formations that we will share with you. We travel into the National Monument where we take in their small but informative visitor’s center before making our way up a winding mountain road to the summit which is Massai Point. (6,000′ elevation) What a spectacular view of this Wonderland of Rocks. A boxed lunch will be enjoyed at this location. Two short hikes to check out the forest of rock spires are planned at this location. A tour of the historic Faraway Ranch House is included during our visit. Come along and explore with us!
