Surprising sights await on this tour of our beautiful Southwest deserts. We begin our journey in the Las Vegas and continue to Death Valley. We explore a wealth of geological wonders, awesome canyons, and mighty mountains in Death Valley National Park, which straddles eastern California and Nevada. Tour Joshua Tree National Park and enjoy highlights of Palm Springs during this scenic and serene desert experience.

Day 1 - Tucson to Death Valley
We begin our journey by flying into Las Vegas. We then venture west into Death Valley. We lodge right inside the park at The Ranch at Death Valley for a 3-night stay.

Day 2 - Death Valley National Park
Enjoy Breakfast at the hotel before exploring Death Valley National Park today. Encompassing over 3.3 million acres, there is much to discover in this isolated region. Visit Ubehebe Crater- a large volcanic crater 600 feet deep and half a mile across, Zabriskie Point- the most famous viewpoint in the park overlooking colorful badlands, and so much more! While exploring, enjoy a picnic lunch.

Day 3 - Death Valley National Park
This morning we continue our tour of Death Valley taking in such sites as the Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes and historic Harmony Borax Works. This afternoon, return to the Ranch to relax, swim in the spring-fed pool, and enjoy all that the property has to offer.

Day 4 - Joshua Tree & Palm Springs
We depart Death Valley and journey to Palm Springs via the iconic Joshua Tree National Park. Named for the twisted, bristled Joshua Trees, the park straddles the cactus dotted Colorado Desert and Mojave Desert. Explore the rugged rock formations that were formed by the elements. We arrive at our lodging for 2 nights.

Day 5 - Palm Springs
After breakfast we will enjoy a guided tour of Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley. This afternoon we will take the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway to the top of Mount San Jacinto where we enjoy a delicious lunch and picturesque views. This evening stroll the Palm Springs Village Fest, a street fair featuring arts, crafts, food and entertainment!

Day 6 - Return Home
Today we depart Palm Springs and travel back to our own desert oasis called home via deluxe motorcoach.

ACTIVITY LEVEL RATING
Level 3: Moderate
Expectations: Expect a moderate amount of walking. There will be time to rest on the coach and between attractions. To enjoy this tour, you should be prepared to walk slightly longer distances, climb stairs and tolerate periods of standing, for example on city walks, sightseeing stops or ship excursions. The daily pace and timing can fluctuate significantly between longer and shorter travel days, with additional activities possibly occurring in the early morning or evening. There may be some changes in altitude or temperatures.
Appropriate for: Most travelers beginning with those who are moderately fit, lead semi-active lives, are comfortable participating in long days of activities and expect some physical exertion.

For your reference, we send to you a detailed itinerary approximately 3-4 weeks prior to the scheduled tour departure. This has day-by-day times and events and hotel information where you can be reached in case of an emergency.
The times listed on the itinerary are all approximate. We cannot be held responsible for schedule changes due to unforeseen circumstances with weather, transportation agents, highway conditions, hotels or contracting agents.
EMERGENCY CONTACT
It is always a good idea to carry on your person a list of medications that you are taking and an emergency contact phone number while you are traveling. And we suggest making a copy of the itinerary and provide it to a friend or family member.
GRATUITIES/ITEMS INCLUDED IN PRICE
The traditional end-of-tour gratuity to your tour director is included on this tour. All hotel porterage and airport skycap (when available) fees are included. We also include the gratuities for the coach/livery drivers. Hotel housekeeping tips are not included.
LIVERY
For your convenience we have a (round-tour) door-to-door pickup service with each multi-day tour. (This service is not available to all clients depending on your location.) Approximately 2 to 3 days prior to the departure date you will receive a call from our office and we will tell you your assigned pickup time. (These times can vary up to 15 minutes depending on traffic.)
LODGING REQUESTS
If you would like to request special accommodations at the hotel(s) where we are lodging, please call us as soon as possible and we will forward these requests for you. The phone numbers of the hotel(s) where we are staying are listed on the itinerary.
Many hotels around the country have instituted a "reconditioning fee" of $300 or more that is levied upon a guest that smokes in a non-smoking room. If this occurs during our tour you will be responsible for paying this fee to the hotel prior to check-out.
