Day 1 – Travel to North Vegas

The motorcoach departs from Tucson, heading to your first stop. Enjoy a welcome lunch at Los Caballeros in Wickenburg. For dinner, we will enjoy an independent meal at the Casino Food Court. Finally, check in for the night at La Quinta in North Vegas.

Day 2 - Zion National Park

Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel as you prepare for an exciting adventure. After checking out and departing from the hotel, we will stop for a picnic lunch amidst the stunning natural beauty of Zion National Park. Embark on a Zion National Park Tram Tour, where you’ll discover the park’s breathtaking landscapes and unique features. With soaring canyon walls on both sides and the Virgin River running parallel to the narrated tram ride along Zion Canyon Scenic Drive.

As the day unfolds, check in to the Springhill Suites HEI Springdale, your comfortable haven for the night. In the evening, enjoy your independent time, including the freedom to choose a dinner spot that suits your preferences.

Day 3 – Bryce Canyon

Commence your day with a satisfying breakfast at the hotel. After stopping for lunch, prepare for a tour of Bryce Canyon National Park, where you’ll be captivated by the park’s surreal geological wonders. Marvel at the mesmerizing “hoodoos,” towering spires of rock carved by centuries of natural erosion. Your exploration will reveal vistas and unique geological formations that make Bryce Canyon a true natural wonder.

As the day unfolds, settle into the historic Bryce Canyon Lodge, a place of rustic charm and comfort that harmonizes beautifully with the park’s surroundings. During the evening, you have the freedom to explore Bryce Canyon further and enjoy an independent dinner that aligns with your preferences.

Day 4 – Capitol Reef National Park

After breakfast, your next destination is the captivating Capitol Reef National Park. Here, you’ll embark on a journey through Capitol Reef National Park, a geological wonderland filled with towering cliffs, deep canyons, and a striking Waterpocket Fold that showcases millions of years of Earth’s history. Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the natural beauty of the park, savoring your meal in the midst of the stunning landscapes.

Upon your return, check in to the Red Cliffs Lodge. In the evening, your time is your own to explore or relax as you wish.

Day 5 - Arches, Canyonlands, & Dead Horse Point

The day begins with breakfast at the lodge. Afterward, depart from the lodge and embark on a captivating tour of Arches National Park. Here, you’ll witness the awe-inspiring beauty of natural arches and rock formations that have been sculpted by time. Enjoy a scenic lunch on your tour.

Next, explore the dramatic landscapes of Canyonlands National Park, a place where the forces of nature have carved deep canyons, towering mesas, and unique geological features. Your journey continues to Dead Horse Point State Park, where you’ll be treated to beautiful vistas overlooking the Colorado River.

As the day unfolds, return to the lodge, and in the evening, gather for an independent dinner at the hotel, sharing stories and experiences from your day of exploration.

Day 6 – Journey to Flagstaff

Enjoy a breakfast at the hotel. After checking out and bidding farewell to the lodge, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy an independent lunch, in Kayenta. Later, check in to Little America Flagstaff, where you’ll spend your final night in comfort and style. In the evening, gather for a memorable farewell dinner at the hotel, where you can reflect on the adventures and experiences of your journey through the American West.

Day 7 - Montezuma Castle and Tucson

Today we visit Montezuma Castle, a historic site where you can marvel at the well-preserved cliff dwellings of the Sinagua people, offering a glimpse into ancient Native American life.

As your journey comes full circle, arrive back in Tucson, where you’ll transfer to livery vehicles for a comfortable and convenient ride to your final destination, bringing your remarkable adventure to a close.

ITINERARY

For your reference, we send to you a detailed itinerary approximately 3-4 weeks prior to the scheduled tour departure. This has day-by-day times and events, hotel information where you can be reached in case of an emergency, and airline information.

The times listed on the itinerary are all approximate. We cannot be held responsible for schedule changes due to unforeseen circumstances with the weather, transportation agents, highway conditions, hotels or contracting agents.

ACTIVITY LEVEL 3

The Activity Level for this tour is Moderate.

Expectations: Expect a moderate amount of walking. There will be time to rest on the coach and between attractions. To enjoy this tour, you should be prepared to walk slightly longer distances, climb stairs and tolerate periods of standing, for example on city walks, sightseeing stops or ship excursions. The daily pace and timing can fluctuate significantly between longer and shorter travel days, with additional activities possibly occurring in the early morning or evening. There may be some changes in altitude or temperatures.

Appropriate for: Most travelers beginning with those who are moderately fit, lead semi-active lives, are comfortable participating in long days of activities and expect some physical exertion.

EMERGENCY CONTACT

It is always a good idea to carry on your person a list of medications that you are taking and an emergency contact phone number while you are traveling. And we suggest making a copy of the itinerary and provide it to a friend or family member.

GRATUITIES/ITEMS INCLUDED IN PRICE

The traditional end-of-tour gratuity to your tour director is included on this tour. All hotel porterage and airport skycap (when available) fees are included. We also include the gratuities for the coach/livery drivers. Hotel housekeeping tips are not included.

LIVERY

For your convenience, we have a (round-tour) door-to-door pickup service with each multi-day tour. (This service is not available to all clients depending on your location.) Approximately 2 to 3 days prior to the departure date you will receive a call from our office and we will tell you your assigned pickup time. (These times can vary up to 15 minutes depending on traffic.)

LODGING REQUESTS

If you would like to request special accommodations at the hotel(s) where we are lodging, please call us as soon as possible and we will forward these requests for you. The phone numbers of the hotel(s) where we are staying are listed on the itinerary.

Many hotels around the country have instituted a "reconditioning fee" of $300 or more that is levied upon a guest that smokes in a non-smoking room. If this occurs during our tour you will be responsible for paying this fee to the hotel prior to check-out.

WEATHER AND CLOTHING/MISC. SUGGESTIONS

Average May temperature in Utah: highs 73 / lows 50 degrees F. The average May precipitation in Utah: 9 days / 1.8 inches. It's best to in layers for your comfort. Bring a light jacket in case of inclement weather. Shoes should be comfortable and sturdy for walking in the National Parks. There are no dress codes to places we visit on this tour.
