Day 1 - Tucson to Page
Today we depart Tucson and travel to Page, a popular summer recreation destination and gateway to exploring magnificent Lake Powell and Antelope Canyon. We make a stop for an independent lunch in Flagstaff, before continuing to our destination. Once we arrive, we check into the Courtyard Page at Lake Powell Hotel and have a delicious welcome dinner nearby before tomorrow’s adventures. (D)
Day 2 – Antelope Canyon
After breakfast we visit the Carl Hayden Visitor Center, overlooking Glen Canyon Dam and boasting a museum with a great collection of artifacts and information as well as a souvenir shop. Then, we venture on to the quaint John Wesley Powell Museum to learn more about the founding of Page, the history of the river, and the construction of the dam. Enjoy a group lunch in town before boarding 4-wheel drive vehicles that take us on a tour of scenic Antelope Canyon. With colorful sculptured sand formations, this slot canyon is renowned worldwide for its incredible beauty and is sure to be a trip highlight. Enjoy an independent dinner and relaxing evening in town. (B,L)
Day 3 – Horseshoe Bend Rafting Trip
This morning we get out on the water and experience Glen Canyon like never before. Starting at the foot of Glen Canyon Dam, we embark on a 15-mile journey down the Colorado River and through Horseshoe Bend to be mesmerized by the surrounding canyon walls and ancestral Puebloan history. Enjoy a picnic lunch before completing the 3-hour float back to Lees Ferry to return to Page. We return to the hotel before enjoying a Navajo dinner show at Red Heritage. (B,D)
Day 4 – Cameron and Back Home
This morning we depart Page and after a lunch stop at Cameron Trading Post, head back to Tucson with many great memories of this area in Northern Arizona. (B,L)

ACTIVITY LEVEL RATING
Level 3: Moderate
Expectations: Expect a moderate amount of walking. There will be time to rest on the coach and between attractions. To enjoy this tour, you should be prepared to walk slightly longer distances, climb stairs and tolerate periods of standing, for example on city walks, sightseeing stops or ship excursions. The daily pace and timing can fluctuate significantly between longer and shorter travel days, with additional activities possibly occurring in the early morning or evening. There may be some changes in altitude or temperatures.
Appropriate for: Most travelers beginning with those who are moderately fit, lead semi-active lives, are comfortable participating in long days of activities and expect some physical exertion.

For your reference, we send to you a detailed itinerary approximately 3-4 weeks prior to the scheduled tour departure. This has a day-by-day breakdown of times and events, and hotel information where you can be reached in case of an emergency.
The times listed on the itinerary are all approximate. We cannot be held responsible for schedule changes due to unforeseen circumstances with the weather, transportation agents, highway conditions, hotels or contracting agents.
It is always a good idea to carry on your person a list of medications that you are taking and an emergency contact phone number while you are traveling. And we suggest making a copy of the itinerary and provide it to a friend or family member.
GRATUITIES/ITEMS INCLUDED IN PRICE
The traditional end-of-tour gratuity to your tour director is not included. If you feel your Tour Director helped you enjoy your tour, we suggest you enclose a gratuity in an envelope and present it individually at the end of the tour. Simply as a guideline, one may consider a per person, per day gratuity of $8.00 per tour guide as an average to be modified by one’s own personal experience. All hotel porterage fees are included. We also include the gratuities for the coach/livery drivers. Maid tips are not included.
For your convenience, we have a (round-tour) door-to-door pickup service with each multi-day tour. (This service is not available to all clients depending on your location.) Approximately 2 to 3 days prior to the departure date you will receive a call from our office and we will tell you your assigned pickup time. (These times can vary up to 15 minutes depending on traffic.)
If you would like to request special accommodations at the hotel(s) where we are lodging, please call us as soon as possible and we will forward these requests for you. The phone numbers of the hotel(s) where we are staying are listed on the itinerary.
Many hotels around the country have instituted a "reconditioning fee" of $300 or more that is levied upon a guest that smokes in a non-smoking room. If this occurs during our tour you will be responsible for paying this fee to the hotel prior to check-out.
We pay close attention to your requests but please realize that these are merely requests and cannot be guaranteed.

WEATHER AND CLOTHING/MISC. SUGGESTIONS
The average daytime high temperatures during our stay in Northern Arizona is typically in the low to mid-50’s and the average night-time temperature is usually lower 30’s. It can be windy and brisk. Please be sure to bring a sweater and/or winter jacket, along with good walking shoes, a hat, and gloves. There are no dress codes for the areas we take you on this tour.
