Day 1 - Departure
This morning we depart Tucson and travel by deluxe motorcoach to “America’s Finest City” to check into the Hotel del Coronado for our 3-night stay. This resort is the quintessential San Diego vacation destination. Built in 1888, it combines gracious Victorian splendor with modern comfort. The magnificent lobby Christmas tree will be trimmed and of course the beach is right there!
Day 2 - Coronado Island
Today is Thanksgiving Day — after breakfast at the hotel we’ll visit the Maritime Museum, which preserves one of the largest collections of historic sea vessels in the United States. This afternoon we will enjoy a delicious Thanksgiving Day buffet meal in the magnificent Crown Room at the “The Del”. What a special meal! We are sure you will also find time to explore the hotel and walk the beach. (B,D)
Day 3 - San Diego
We’ll explore San Diego today. We visit Seaport Village, which houses more than 70 shops, galleries, and eateries. You will have free time to shop and enjoy an independent lunch along the harbor. While here we will go aboard the USS Midway Museum. With more than 30 restored aircraft, and nearly 10 acres of exhibits and displays, the Midway brings you the most complete cross-section of carrier aviation in the world. We will end our day with a narrated San Diego Harbor cruise tour of more than fifty storied landmarks. We’ll cover over thirteen miles on the harbor, passing by Seaport Village, Shelter Island, ship-building and dry-docking facilities, Coronado Island, Point Loma, and Cabrillo National Monument, among many others. As we sail, we’ll see delightful marine animals and majestic sea birds, and we’ll talk about what local environmental efforts are doing to protect them. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to capture all the sights in photos and video. After enjoying the sunset at the close of our cruise we return to The Del for dinner on your own and a final glorious evening on the island. (B)

Tour members should expect intermittent walking, with occasional slight inclines and stair climbs, including boarding the motorcoach. The traditional end-of-tour gratuity to your tour director is not included. If you feel your Tour Director helped you enjoy your tour, we suggest you enclose a gratuity in an envelope and present it individually at the end of the tour. We also include the gratuities for the coach/livery drivers.
